Launch of Southpaw Grammar Writers Group Zine
Since the middle of August, I’ve been part of a small writer’s group that’s been meeting in the basement of Trades Hall, Melbourne on Wednesday nights. All new to this, we spent our nights critiquing each others work, doing exercises and analysing the work of other writers.
The experience for me have been invaluable and the critiques receiving helped me to get ‘My Boss Sucks’ ready to submit, which I did to Voiceworks a couple of months ago.
Well, we’re finally ready to out ourselves to the world and will be launching an inaugural zine at the New International Bookshop in Trades Hall on the 2nd of December. It will feature work by yours truly, Sam Stoker, Ben Pearmain, Alex Ettling and Frankie Cole.
Feel free to attend and come and say hi.
Also, the zine will be available at the New International Bookshop, Sticky, Polyster Books and Brunswick Bound from the 2nd – as well as possibly through me.
